Sponsored Courses
The Graham Environmental Sustainability Institute helps to bring challenging, new, interdisciplinary courses about environmental-sustainability subject matter to the University of Michigan (U-M). For example, in this recent past, the Graham Institute orchestrated and sponsored the following cross-disciplinary courses at U-M:
- Ecological Design Approaches to Brownfield Redevelopment (NRE/UP 576): This graduate-level course featured hands-on learning an analysis of a brownfield development sites in Stamford, CT.
- Sustainable Urban Environments: An Interdisciplinary Approach (CEE 980): This graduate-level course gave students an unprecedented opportunity to work with leading practitioners of brownfield remediation and redevelopment by investigating a site in Chicago, IL.
- Sustainability & the Campus (ENVIRON 302): This undergraduate-level course allowed students to address real-life challenges of campus environmental sustainability via specific challenges and opportunities at U-M.
