Certificate Programs
Students interested in studying environmental sustainability without enrolling in a formal Dual-Degree Program may pursue a Certificate of Graduate Studies.
A Certificate of Graduate Studies is a non-degree credential designed to provide students with specialized knowledge that is less extensive than a master’s program but valuable and focused none-the-less. Certificate Programs, which typically five courses or 15 credit hours, are available in the majority of schools and colleges outlined on this website. For example, SNRE offers a Certificate Program in Industrial Ecology and Spatial Analysis, and TAUP offers a Certificate in Real Estate Planning.
Please visit each respective unit's website to learn about their particular Certificate opportunities. Or, to learn more about the overall Graduate Certificate Program, please visit the Rackham School of Graduate Studies website, where you'll find a link to Certificate Programs as one of the top listings under Interdisciplinary Academic Programs.
NOTE: some units offer stand-alone Certificate Programs that do not require simultaneous enrollment in a graduate-level program. Certicates available through the Ross School of Business' Executive Education are one such example.
