Graham Scholars students take trip to Chile

Sustainable Energy Development in South America students visit Chile over U-M spring break

ANN ARBOR, Mich., February 28, 2008--

Graham Scholars in Chile Eighteen U-M students are currently traveling throughout Chile exploring current and potential sustainable hydroelectric power locations. Students from the CEE 490 course, taught by Professor Steve Wright (College of Engineering) and Assistant Research Scientist Sara Adlerstein (School of Natural Resources and Environment) will use the knowledge they have gained from classroom work to conduct team-based multidisciplinary research. U-M students and faculty are traveling with peers from the University of Concepción where Professor Wright will be conducting research as part of a Fulbright Scholar Award.
