Paid Internship for U-M Recyling Program

U-M's Department of Grounds & Waste is hiring for a "Waste Reduction Intern" to assist with in the operation of the university's Recycling Program.
Job Description: Duties include collecting secondary recyclables from campus buildings, coordinating and executing deliveries of recycling containers to campus buildings, organizing annual recycling outreach programs (e.g. Student Move Out, Student Move In, recycling at Michigan Stadium, America Recycles Day, RecycleMania), assisting in the development of new recycling opportunities on campus as well as providing support for other programs, as needed.
Qualifications: Students currently enrolled in a relevant degree program or recent graduates with training in a related field. Interest in recycling and waste management, excellent time management skills, experience interacting with customers, experience using a variety of Microsoft applications and a valid driver’s license are required.The successful applicant will have to obtain a Chauffeur’s License within two weeks of hire. There is only a written test associated with this license. Some Saturday/Sunday hours may be required during the Michigan Football Season. Flexible scheduling is available.
Salary: $9.00/hour, raises available with length of employment and licensure.
