Kelly is responsible for managing the Planet Blue Ambassador program and serving as an advisor to the Student Sustainability Coalition. Both programs aim to foster a culture of sustainability on campus. The Planet Blue Ambassador program introduces students, staff, and faculty to sustainability efforts at the University of Michigan and inspires them to get involved. The Student Sustainability Coalition uses the Collective Impact Framework to bring together, coordinate, and amplify campus-wide student sustainability efforts.
Prior to joining the Graham Sustainability Institute, Kelly worked at Environmental Defense Fund. She served as EDF’s first sustainability representative and as a coordinator for the Corporate Partnerships program. She holds a Master of Environmental Management degree and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Science and Policy from Duke University’s Nicholas School of the Environment.
Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys hiking, playing ultimate frisbee, baking, knitting, and spending time with her husband and pet hedgehog.
